People Love Us
Amazing place! changed my son's life. Friendly people and expert staff. It's very safe and clean. No child or adult is left out or left behind and they teach good lessons. You or your child will be able to progress as much as you're driven and be prepared to compete, if you want. If you just want a good work out or some self defense, you can do that too. My son takes private lessons with professor Davidson and has shown amazing progress. He is patient, professional, and thorough. Professor Fabio is present even for the children. There is a curriculum for each skill level and age so you are never overwhelmed or bored, but always making progress and properly challenged.

Wish I had found Gracie Barra (cedar park) sooner, I would've learned and improved my BJJ skills a lot sooner. Well, better late than never :-). The professors that teach are highly experienced, constantly encouraging their students to push their limits be it in BJJ or in life. one thing I noticed and highly admire is that the teachers' time for their students don't end after the class is finished. If you got questions on how to improve or where you're going wrong, they're willing to spend time even after the class to help their students.

The team is sooo so nice, everyone in the staff so far has been outstandingly competent and patient with me. A special thanks to professors Andre, Neil and Leo, incredibly talented at teaching and demonstrating the techniques.
Prices are okay and you basically get unlimited classes throughout all units on their available schedules for a monthly fee. Id also say this is definitely a good activity for kids as they learn how to protect themselves against any adversities and potential bullies, as well as get the notion of discipline and perseverance.

Our classes are structured to accommodate different fitness levels, and our instructors will help you gradually develop strength, endurance, and flexibility.
Yes! Many Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies offer specialized programs for children. BJJ can benefit children by teaching them discipline, self-confidence, respect, and practical self-defense skills in a safe and controlled environment.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is highly effective for self-defense because it focuses on ground fighting, where many real-life altercations end up. BJJ techniques allow individuals to neutralize and control opponents without relying on size or strength, making it suitable for individuals of all ages and body types.
While it's common for BJJ academies to provide loaner or rental equipment for beginners, you will eventually need to invest in a few essential items. These typically include a BJJ gi (uniform), a mouthguard, and protective gear like knee pads or rash guards. Your academy can guide you on the specific requirements.
The frequency of training can vary depending on individual goals and availability. For beginners, it's recommended to start with a few classes per week to build a solid foundation. As you progress, you can gradually increase training frequency. Consistency is key, so aim for a balance that fits your schedule and allows for recovery.
Yes, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu utilizes a belt ranking system to signify a practitioner's progress and skill level. The traditional belt colors are white, blue, purple, brown, and black. Each belt requires a certain level of proficiency, time in training, and demonstration of technique and knowledge. Advancement in belt rank is typically determined through regular evaluations conducted by qualified instructors.
